Suggested GigAlarm modification: more accurate Next Repeat

It would be nice if "Next Repeat" would give the actual date and time the alarm will be repeated. Say I have an alarm which is repeated every hour on the hour and I am away from my computer all morning until 10:57 AM. At that time the alarm will display "Next Repeat: 1 Hours" eve...

GigAlarm 1.32 -- can't register

I installed GigAlarm 1.32. Double-clicking the .exe, I get: "Your trial time for this program is over. To continue usage you need to purchase it." Clicking either option box, I get the About window. I cannot use the dReg.txt in the About window as I always have to register the software. Af...

GigAlarm 1.3.1.2 -- Pause Alarms is broke

Now I have a problem with Pause Alarms. Seems like it selects an alarm toward the top of the Next Alarms list and does it every few seconds.

In the past, I've used Pause Alarm all the time.

Please help.

GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- version info in Help file

It would be great if the top of the Help .htm file matched what is downloaded.

According to http://www.acapsoft.com/det.php?prog=GigAlarm , I downloaded "Version 1.311 28 Nov 08".

After the download, the new .htm Help file showed "Version 1.31 18 Oct 08".

Re: GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Random within

OK. Here's an example directly from the evil database. The Alarm window says: - - - - - - - - - - -Next Repeat between 36 and 79 minutes The Summary Window says, under Repeat: Random Within - - 36 - - - 79 - - Minutes The Main window says: - - Alarm will repeat randomly between 37 and 79 Minutes The...

GigAlarm Version 1.311 28 Nov 08 -- using 99% of the CPU

I think I had this problem with a previous version. As a test, I just powered my PC off, waited 30 seconds, and powered it back on. After it came back up, the only thing I started was Task Manager and GigAlarm. GigAlarm displayed alarms like always but in less than a minute, the CPU usage for GigAla...

Re: GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Random within

Thanks for the fix.

The first number in the Main window is off by 1 but I can live with that.

Re: GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Random within

In further testing, I find that the time range in the Alarm Window after "Next Repeat:" seems to be reasonable but if I do an Edit Alarm and select the Main Page, the time range after "Alarm will repeat randomly between" is very different. Perhaps it's because I have Summarise ch...

Re: GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Random within

All multiple blanks were taken out of my post so the table doesn't look anything like it was when I entered it. The table lists seven examples of what I keyed into the Repeat page compared to what the Main page displays. Click Edit on my post and the multiple blanks are restored so you can see the o...

GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Export

Immediately after an export, a mouseover shows "No alarms set!". I have to exit Gigalarm and restart it to get the alarms to work again. This happens every time.

I have Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 with all high-priority patches installed.

GigAlarm 1.31 18 Oct 08 -- Random within

The Mode "Random within" settings are confusing. I get the following results: settings from Repeat page display from Main page Repeat Times Alarm will repeat randomly between 5 10 11 15 5 8 9 13 0 8 9 9 0 3 4 4 1 3 4 4 2 3 4 5 3 3 7 9 In the last example above, GigAlarm changed the Repeat ...

Re: GigAlarm 1.3

What is the file dReg.txt used for?

Should I copy this from the old GigAlarm folder or use the new file?
